Shintoyo Enterprises founded by Paul Sung. Paul Sung is appointed President. Shintoyo Enterprises obtains exclusive rights to import and distribute Jaguars, Rover, Triumph, MG and Mini from British Leyland Motors Company. |

Creates Shintoyo Motors as a joint venture with Marubeni Iida (Marubeni). Opened a PDI center in Yokohama (at the current Jaguar Yokohama site) to establsh nation-wide sales network. |

Builds Shintoyo Akasaka Building. Opened Shintoyo Akasaka office and showroom on the 1st and 2nd floor. |

Shintoyo Enterprises gives back exclusive rights to import cars and British Leyland compnany starts direct import. Shintoyo Jidosha starts to operate as an authorized dealer for the Kanagawa prefecture with its headquarters in Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama-shi. |

British Leyland company sets up a subsidiary company, Jaguar Japan, to import cars. Shintoyo Enterprises also sets up a subsidiairy Shintoyo Corporation and appoints Shohachi Katayama as President. |
